Vitamin E is one of the best natural beauty products known today.

Vitamin E and its powerful skin healing capabilities surpass all of Mother Nature’s ingredients, giving it the nickname “the skin vitamin.” Besides the skin, Earl Mindell, author of the Vitamin Bible for the 21st Century, says that Vitamin E protects the heart and other organs, supports weight loss and even dissolves blood clots.

Free radicals are skin damaging environmental components like UV rays from the sun, pollution and even being exposed too much to computers and other electronics. Since these factors are difficult to avoid, it might be time to purchase either a supplement, or the pure form of Vitamin E oil for direct application.

It never hurts to add a little of this skin nourishing vitamin to your daily diet. Cherie Calbom and Maureen Keane, author of Juicing for Life, suggests eating more foods like spinach, soybeans and nuts. Vegetable oils are also rich in Vitamin E.

For direct application, pure Vitamin E oil works great on scars, stretch marks and age spots. Within months, the dark and damaged skin will lighten and finally be removed over time. Vitamin E is also good to put directly on fine lines, deep wrinkles and blemishes. Vitamin E heals the “wounded” area and encourages new cell growth for a speedy recovery. Just remember that Vitamin E oil is very thick and sticky in its purest form, so do not assume that it will easily guide over the face. When pure, it is ideal for spot treatment.

Repair Dry Skin

For extremely dry skin, a favorite skin healing night recipe used by many natural beauty experts is to simply mix a little olive oil with pure Vitamin E oil. This combination spreads over the face easily to reveal soft and supple skin in the morning.

Protect Skin from the Sun

Vitamin E protects the skin from UV rays, so mix Vitamin E with coconut oil and rub on skin before going into the sun for a little added protection. If burning occurs, mix Vitamin E oil with aloe vera gel to prevent further damage and peeling.

Lips and Tips Treatment

For a fast lip and cuticle treatment, combine pure Vitamin E oil with almond oil. This recipe quickly heals cracked lips and torn cuticles.

With all of the wonderful things Vitamin E can do for anti-aging and overall healthy skin, it is wise to keep a bottle handy in the medicine cabinet. Vitamin E oil can be purchased at grocery, drug and health food stores.
