O.P.I.'s exotic Coleccion de Espana brought the spicier colors of Fall and Winter to your fingertips with a vibrant pallette of eye-popping shades, and now the newest Suede collection adds a velvety touch, giving a matte makeover with a splash of shimmer to six of your favorite nail lacquers.
- You Don't Know Jacques - The popular, sophisticated mocha with undertones of slate is a fixture of O.P.I.'s France Collection and is transformed for Fall with the stylish comfort of smooth suede.
- Russian Navy - This deep blue was a chilly favorite among the bold hues of the Russian Collection where sleekly manicured dark nails were a chic accent to winter wardrobes.
- Lincoln Park After Dark - This midnight shade is the Chicago Collection's reference to a late-night journey through a pitch-black Lincoln Park, and takes nails to the depths of the color pallette. Nearly black, the deep purple lacquer is a bold statement made bolder with suede.

The suede spin on the original lacquers produces shades that stand apart from their predecessors, so don't worry about anyone mistaking your suede Russian Navy for the original glossy lacquer. Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, O.P.I. Executive VP & Artistic Director, whose name is often incorporated into the creative monikers given to the lacquers in each collection, suggests pairing the suede colors with their traditional counterparts for a unique look, "like wearing a fabulous suede jacket with a sexy silk blouse."
To Top or Not to Top...
O.P.I. warns that the new suede-inspired collection will not wear as long as regular lacquer. Although some fans insist that a topcoat brings these shades to a glamorous, metallic level with an intense shine, wearers are instructed against using topcoats, lotions, or any drying products in combination with these shades to preserve the suede look.
