O.P.I. Unveils Espana Collection

Twelve New Shades to Add Flair to Your Fall/Winter Look

Aug 10, 2009 Amanda Flinner

August 5, 2009 marks O.P.I.'s newest collection of nail lacquers in a Spanish-inspired fiesta of rich colors in contrast to the beach-blanket brightness of summer shades.

Coming off the neon brights that glowed on summer toes is O.P.I's newest Coleccion de Espana, a versatile palette with a range of warmth and depth inspired by Spanish culture. Whether you prefer a clean, neutral look with a soft cream or an eye-catching splash of decadent color, this collection has something to offer.

  • Here Today... Aragon Tomorrow - A lush emerald-flecked green that brings color from the deepest forest to your fingertips.
  • Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees - A unique smoky cobalt for the bold, bluesy feel of a jazz lounge despite the chill of the icy slopes.
  • Give Me Moor! - This deep wine color with purple undertones will leave you wanting "moor" all winter long.
  • Pamplona Purple - Fans of summer brights will find an easy transition into the upcoming seasons with a splash of Pamplona purple.
  • Pink Flamenco - Offset neutrals, wines, and merlots with this charge of pure pink that will electrify your dancing shoes.
  • Ate Berries in the Canaries - A lollipop marriage of purple and pink evokes the leftover sweetness of summer.
  • Bullish on OPI - This spicy shade sets the Espana collection on fire with bold flames of orange-tinged red.
  • Barefoot in Barcelona - Who says neutrals have to be boring? The warm Spanish sun heats up this creamy nude into a toasty, sandy shade to melt the chill from wintry limbs.
  • Manicurist of Seville - Feeling tame with the "bullish" red of the collection? Skip the orange tones with this velvety merlot that's sure to join the ranks of O.P.I.'s classic wine shades.
  • Can You Tapas This? - What appears to be a flushed mauve in the bottle darkens to a deep shade of raisin on your fingertips.
  • Conquistadorable Color - For those who are mired in the winter blues but are dreaming of spring, this color offers the promise of blooming pink flowers while maintaining the classic depth of the warm pallette.
  • No Spain, No Gain - Caught between the candy-coated "Ate Berries in the Canaries" and the richer pink of the "Conquistadorable Color"? Try "No Spain, No Gain" for a vibrant stain of overripe berries and a bolder splash of color.

Click through and "try on" these colors from O.P.I.'s newest collection at OPI.com, although the best way to experience a new shade is out of the confines of that deceptive bottle. Ask a nail technician or sales person to assist you in finding your perfect shade for the upcoming seasons of 2009.
