Using Fruit and Vegetables for Skin Treatment

Expensive face packs are not always the most effective means for skin treatment. Why not choose for natural skin products like fruit and vegetables?

The body needs fruit and vegetables to stay healthy. Everyone eats them, so why not use them as natural skin treatment products? It is harmless, easy and cheap! These natural face packs nourish and cleanse the skin.

Oily Skin Treatment

People with an oily skin benefit from a skin treatment with fresh strawberries. All it takes are six normal sized strawberries. Mash them and apply the mixture. Leave it for five minutes and relax. Wash the strawberries with warm water.

Another home-made face pack is one with apple. Those with an oily skin type can opt for a couple of apple cubes, mixed with one tbs of honey, a few drops of vinegar and a pinch of kaolin powder. Apply this face pack two days a week and the result will be a beautiful glowing skin.

Dry Skin Treatment

For those with dry or normal skin, the best natural face pack to use is one with banana. Mash one banana and apply the mixture. Leave it for five minutes and then wash it off with warm water. Apply some moisturizer for the best result.

Apples are also ideal for people who need a dry skin treatment. Take half an apple, sliced in cubes, and add one tbs of honey, one egg yolk, one tbs of ascorbic acid, a little bit of vinegar and two tbs of olive oil. Blend all the ingredients and apply the mixture. Leave it to dry and then wash with lukewarm water.

Other Natural Skin Products

  • There are other eatable products that can be used for a beautiful skin:
  • A lot of sun can damage the skin. The sun extracts Vitamin E from the body. This can easily be solved by eating legumes which are rich in Vitamin E!
  • Drinking lots of water, about 6 big glasses a day, keeps the skin hydrated and makes for a radiant skin.
  • The skin does not only need to be nourished from the outside, but also from the inside. Eating three pieces of fruit every day is thus an excellent idea. The best kinds of fruit for a radiant skin are apricots, strawberries and orange juices.

Taking care of the skin does not need to be time-consuming, expensive or difficult. Using natural skin products will also give the best results wanted. Plus, don’t forget to nourish the skin from the inside out by choosing for a balanced diet and by drinking lots of water. Fruit and vegetables will make the skin beautiful.
